I would like to congratulate the new members of Teamsters Local 135 who are employees of UPS Freight (Formally Overnite). It has been a long ,hard fight for all the employees to win a strong contract that protects workers rights, wages and benefits. I have been a  member of the UPS National Negotiating Committee since 1997 and know first hand how hard it is to negotiate with UPS.  We hope that this will be the start of a national Contract that all UPS Freight Employees can enjoy like the new Local 135 Members. We here at Local 243 look forward to helping the Metro Detroit UPS Freight employees organize to secure their futures.
